Welcome to the inaugural Galiano Gallop! With stunning ocean views, lush forested single track and a fun island vibe, this race has it all!

The start/finish is at Lions Field at the south end of Galiano Island. Plan to hang out after the race to enjoy local vendors, local musical talent, prizes and FOOD!

There will be two race distances – 6KM & 10KM and a free kids race for kids aged 3-10yrs old. Both the 6K & 10K distances will have an aid station stocked with water, snacks and cheering volunteers to get you to the finish. Walkers are welcome!

Kids race is just under 1KM around Lions Field and is geared for kids 3-10yrs old. No need to register for the kids race online, it is free and kids colouring sheet racer bibs can be picked up at race package pick up.

WE ARE AIMING TO BE A ZERO WASTE EVENT

• We will be a “cupless” event. No drinking cups will be available at aid stations on the course or at the finish line. FREE re-usable cups will be given out to racers in their race packages for use during the race and to keep for future use.

• BYOB – “Bring Your Own Bowl” AND spoon for our after race soup party

Entry fee discounts will be given to Galiano Trails Society “active” members. If you are not sure if you are an active GTS member, please contact galianotrailssociety@gmail.com before completing your online registration. If you are not an active member, and you sign up for the race as one, unfortunately we will not be able to give you your official timing chip at race package pick up. We encourage you and your family to become members to take advantage of race discounts and to help Galiano Trails Society build and maintain trails on Galiano Island. Kids 10-14yrs old must be accompanied by an adult on the course.

RACE PACKAGE PICK UP DATES/TIMES - BRING YOUR ID!!

Saturday, September 27th – 10am-2pm at Lions Field at the Saturday Market

Sunday, September 28th – 7:30am-8:30am at Lions Field on race morning

To pick up your race package you must present photo ID. There will also be a runners liability waiver form you will need to sign.

***we are encouraging everyone to pick up their race packages at the Saturday Market to help race day “run” smoothly (pun intended!)

DEFERRALS / CANCELLATIONS / BIB TRANSFERS

There are no racer deferrals or cancellations. We can do bib transfers if you would like to give your race entry to another runner. Please contact us at galianotrailssociety@gmail.com or talk to a volunteer at package pick up
